Boston

This evening I went to Boston with my boyfriend to grab a bite to eat and do some shopping. I even got him to go to Urban Outfitters (shocking), but overall it was very fun besides the cold, windy weather!

If you ever get a chance to go to Boston, I suggest you check out Harvard Square in Cambridge. I'm sure you've all heard of Harvard College, but the area its in is a really great place. There's shops (Urban Outfitters, Lush, American Apparel, etc.) and great restaurants, cafes, bars and small coffee shops. The brick streets are also beautiful around Christmas time with all the lights around the city.

Here's some pictures:

After dinner, we stopped into a local coffee/pastry shop for hot chocolate and french macaroons. I've never had them and I know they're smaller than regular ones but I couldn't resist trying! :)

Bargain Buy #1

As a college student, I'm constantly looking for affordable products that actually give results. It is very discouraging to spend money trying something new and being unhappy with it. One product that I've tried and loved is
Garnier Fructis "3 Minute Undo - Dryness Reversal Treatment".

I picked up this a few months ago in Target for only $3! I have thick hair, which tends to get very dry in the cooler months. For such a cheap price I honestly did not expect great results, but after using this on a regular basis, I LOVE the way it makes my hair feel. The ends are no longer dry, and my hair feels really soft.

The consistency is really thick, so if you have fine hair this may not work for you. It also has little beads in it, almost like a body wash would, which I found was very unique. Overall I definitely would repurchase this product again!

Have any of you tried this?

A Fresh Start

After many months of inactivity, I've decided to start blogging again but take a new approach on things. As a college student, I'm always trying to choose new products that I've read good reviews on rather than wasting my money to use something once. Instead of just posting what I've purchased on recent shopping trips, I'm now going to incorporate reviews, diet/exercise posts and even blog sales to attempt to save up some money for this upcoming school year. So keep reading! :)

MAC Graphic Garden Brush Set

A while ago I purchased the Graphic Garden brush set by MAC that is exclusive to Nordstrom stores only. Overall I really like these brushes and I know the SE brushes aren't as good as the regular ones. Even though they're not as good, I think these sets are really good for someone (like me) who is just purchasing MAC brushes for the first time.
$50 for 5 MAC brushes, a makeup bag and a brush bag is a really good deal to me. I also love that they're smaller than the regular size, and it makes it a lot easier to carry them in my purse for touchups if needed. I bought the Shape & Perfect set which includes the 275, 212, 168, 187 and the 194 brushes.

What do you all think about the MAC brush sets?

Project Healthy, Kardashian Hair

A few weeks ago before I started school again, I decided cut my hair in attempt to get rid of all my split ends and make my hair really healthy. Naturally, my hair is curly but I like the more "curled/wavy look". I have really long hair already, but I also wanted to try out clip in hair extensions for the first time too. As you may know, I love the Kardashian sisters and I've always wanted their beautiful hair.

This is a picture of my hair without the extensions/after the cut:
In my mission for healthy hair I've also picked up a few products. The Healthy Sexy Hair Products were on sale for 2 for $5.. which is a complete steal! (This was because of old packaging). I also picked up a few CHI products because I saw them at TJ Maxx for a lot cheaper than beauty shops.

Healthy Sexy Hair: Soy Milk Moisture Shampoo, Soy Milk Conditioner, Soy Salvation Deep Treatment, Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner, and Soya Want Flat Hair Hairspray.
CHI: Iron Guard, Infra Shampoo and Infra Treatment.

Overall these products were really good and for the most part I will be repurchasing. They make my hair incredibly soft and shiny. My ends also are a lot softer than they normally would be after using heat so frequently. The only problem I have with these products is that the leave-in conditioner tends to make my hair a little flat if I go over-board.

my new HG of shaving.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been updating, I have just recently moved back into college to start my second year, so things have been kinda hectic! I also forgot my camera cord, therefore I can't upload any pictures unless I use the photo booth on my macbook. Thank you to all my new followers! :)

Okay so, I bet most of you are wondering why I'm posting about shaving.... its because I had to let you guys in on this new product I purchased!

(I apologize for the poor image quality, this is using my photo booth.)

Every morning I have been shaving my legs using these 2 products (along with moisturizer afterwards), and my boyfriend and friends have made comments about how smooth my legs feel! I sometimes get razor burn, but haven't at all since using these products.
  • First, is the Venus Spa Breeze razor. Which I believe can be purchased at most drugstores. I'm not sure how much they are there because I got my package at Costco's (warehouse/wholesale type store) and bought around 20, yes 20 cartridges for $24! Usually I use men's razors but I really like that this razor has a two moisturizing strip built in. The only complaint I have is that the strips do run out before the razor is dull, but it most definitely can be used without the added strips.
  • Now, to the product I'm most excited about. The Evolution of Smooth Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss. I have always wanted to try out their products, and when I found this in Target I chose it over a normal shaving gel. It says to shave either wet or dry, and I have only tried this in the shower but I love it! I love the fact that it is a cream, which leaves my skin feeling soft, and smelling like vanilla!
At my Target the shaving cream was around $4.99? (Kind of expensive but believe me, you only need two pumps!) and they only had 2 types when I went. BUT you also can check out the 5 other fragrances here The Evolution of Smooth (I can't wait to try the Island Blue!)

What shaving products do you girls use?!
